Following numerous reports that the city's post-Sandy recovery program Build it Back has fallen extremely short in its namesake duty, City Controller Scott Stringer is launching a full-on audit of the program. The allegations will be handled by the City Controller's new Sandy Recovery Unit. "It disturbs me greatly there are 20,000 people on a waiting list and six homes have been rebuilt," Stringer told NYDN.
