The [insert gentrifying neighborhood here] is the new [insert already-somewhat-gentrified neighborhood here] trope is getting a bit old, but since Curbed tries to keep tabs on all up-and-comers, we'll bite. Is Bay Ridge going to be the new Williamsburg? One report showed that the area housed 20 percent of Brooklyn's new development sales in the first quarter of 2014—though that amounted to just 14 transactions. Many new transplants left Billyburg and its pricey pads, and restaurants in the area are starting to serve locally made ricotta and grass-fed brisket. Case closed.
