A judge ruled that a controversial 95-year-old Picasso tapestry, whose removal from the Seagram building is currently being contested by preservationists, can stay put for at least one more month. Supreme Court Justice Carol Edmead requested further testimony from "art preservationists and engineers" before she can determine whether taking down the 19' x 20' curtain will in fact destroy it. Seagram's owner, RFR Realty's Aby Rosen, wants the artwork out, so the Landmarks Conservancy sued to keep it in place. [NYDN; previously]
