New documents filed with the Department of Buildings confirm that 22 Thames Street will become the tallest residential building downtown. The Rafael Vinoly-designed structure will stand 70 stories and 957 feet tall, surpassing the planned 926-foot-tall 30 Park Place. The first two floors will be commercial, and the rest of the tower will hold 439 rental apartments, 20 percent of which will be affordable. [NY YIMBY; previously]
