TF Cornerstone's massive proposed development at 606 West 57th Street has cleared one of its final hurdles before it can become a reality. The City Council on Land Use has approved the 1,025-apartment building following the developers agreement to add a public preschool and an additional 10,000-square-feet of moderate-income housing. The City Planning Commission, Community Board 4, and the Manhattan Borough President's office have signed-off on the development, but Cornerstone's request for a zoning change to build the two 28-story structures with a 14-story cube on top has yet to be approved by the city.
