JDS Development Group, the company behind Walker Tower, 111 West 57th Street, and other incredibly expensive Manhattan condo developments, is expanding into Brooklyn with its purchase of a $6 million assemblage of properties at 613 Baltic Street in Park Slope. They're planning a mixed-use residential and retail development, with construction set to begin in early 2015. This is actually the company's third foray into Brooklyn — the first two were rental buildings at 202 8th Street and 50 North 1st Street. [Crain's; previously]
