The 7 train extension at Hudson Yards will be home to the subway system's first inclined elevator. The "inclinator" will transport 15 riders at a time 170 feet in a glass compartment at a 27-degree angle. The system costs less to build than a regular elevator because it requires less excavation, so rest east that this fancy contraptionso fancy that it's also used in a Las Vegas casinoisn't costing more money.
