"[Alfred] was worried about the karma, but I just loved the terrace," Patsy Kahn, one half of the now-divorced couple who bought infamous Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff's former Upper East Side penthouse, told the Post in 2010 shortly before the $8 million sale closed. While it's not necessarily karma's fault, things haven't exactly gone swimmingly for the Kahns since they bought the 3BR/4.5BA unit — their attempt to flip the pad, post renovation, for $17.25 million didn't get them much of anywhere, and now they have taken the listing out of Dolly Lenz's hands and given it to her former employer, Elliman, who have relisted and chopped the price by $2.4 million, down to $14.85 million. (Interestingly, Lenz's listing was also just refreshed, still with the higher price, and remains live.)
