$7 Million Gramercy Co-op Looks Like a Medieval Lair

New, 17 comments

The listing for this Gramercy Park North co-op brags that it "has not been on the market in over 45 years," but looking at the design you would think it had been 450 years. Asking $7 million, this place just added itself to the small list of Manhattan co-ops to come on the market in the last couple years that seem to have drawn their inspiration from medieval castles. Designed by architecture firm Schwartz & Gross, it includes what appear to be stone walls, a fireplace, chandeliers, a lot of paneling, and a huge terrace overlooking Gramercy Park. It seems like the perfect place to live if you are a character in a Shakespeare play.
