Shigeru Ban won the Pritzker Prize, architecture's highest award, in March, and while his firm remains incredibly humblehis partner said "it's quite inappropriate to speculate about what could happen with our work"the developers and brokers marketing his NYC buildings are reveling in the honor. Interest in available units in Ban's Metal Shutter House has gone way up, and people have even taken to asking the doorman for tours. "It was always one of the most spectacular buildings in Manhattan, and having him win the Pritzker validates that," says one broker. "It goes from an appealing piece of real estate to a living sculpture." [NYT; previously]
