Unspectacular Midtown West Site Might Be a Hampton Inn

New, 1 comment

A 30-story hotel is rising at 220 West 41st Street courtesy of Palmetto Hospitality, the development group behind the Hilton and Hampton Inn brand. Nikolai Fedak of YIMBY snagged a few shots of the rising and recessed structure which, according to him, looks well on its way to becoming "standard hotel fare" with "ribbed protrusions" that pretty much fail at making the building memorable amongst its well-known neighbors like the New York Times building. The hotel, which appears to be slated as a Hampton Inn and Suites thanks to an exterior rendering's handy little flag clue, is designed by Helpern Architects. Expect to bask in the three-star brand's 140,000-square-feet of glory by Spring 2015.

UPDATE: Helpern Architects reached out to say that the interior renderings were outdated and created by a third party. They will not be representative of the final project, so they have been removed.
