Cornerspotted: 43-49 Willow Place in Brooklyn Heights

This colonnade row, built during the style's height in popularity in 1846, can be found on Willow Place between Joralemon and State streets in Brooklyn Heights. The prominent columns were intended to provide a bit of drama for the building's otherwise conventional Greek Revival look. The row of homes is adjacent from 40 Willow Place, once dubbed Brooklyn's Most Valuable Townhouse.
