Renovations

A stunning 9,000-square-foot mansion in Clinton Hill that hit the market last week asking $9.875 million was previously home to two mayors, but today it's writerly couple Sean Wilsey and Daphne Beal who stand to make a profit from the extensive renovation they spearheaded. The Journal profiles the couples' $3.5M makeover of 405 Clinton Avenue, which included a new A/C system and 100 new windows while maintaining historic details like coffered ceilings and wood carvings. First they were renting, and now they're selling, despite feeling like "[w]e're a part of the house." Surely $10M will shoo that feeling out the door? [WSJ; previously]
