Finally, a decade after a developer first purchased the old Domino Sugar Factory on the Brooklyn waterfront, the property will be redeveloped. Yesterday, City Council unanimously voted to approved Two Trees' plan to bring a mixed-used, tower-tastic project to the site. The 2.28-million-square-foot development will bring towers up to 55-stories tall and some 2,300 apartments to the area, 700 of which will be affordable. [BK Paper; previously]
