It faded into the background for awhile, but Joseph Chetrit's Noho hotel, to be converted from an office building, is back on the radar. Bowery Boogie spotted that the DOB approved permits for the $13 million project, a through-block building that will also unseat the Crunch between Broadway and Lafayette Street. Ten stories at 708 Broadway and eight stories at 404 Lafayette will house 247 rooms. Who's the architect? Gene Kaufman, of course. The area'd best brace for this Chetrit-Kaufman double whammy.
