Midtown Equities won a heated competition last year to gets the rights to redevelop the Empire Stores coffee warehouse buildings in Dumbo, and now we get our first wide-angle look at what that redevelopment will look like thanks to a couple of renderings posted on the website of the creative agency that created them. The planted rooftops and lit up glassy additions from STUDIO V Architecture are on full display. Once complete, the project will include 300,000 square feet of offices, another 80,000 square feet of restaurant/retail/event space, 7,000 square feet of landscaped rooftop open space, and exhibition space. West Elm has already signed on as the anchor tenant and the developers are currently looking for more tenants, reportedly at record prices.
