Watch Five Skydivers Fly 7,500 Feet Above Lower Manhattan

New, 2 comments

On Sunday morning, five presumably sane people just jumped out of a plane 7,500 feet above Manhattan—equipped with GoPros, of course, because what would a feat like that be without video documentation? Nothing. Gothamist had a snippet yesterday, and Tribeca Trib has the whole two-minute plummet-fest, embedded above, today. The Red Bull Air Force Wingsuit Flyers were promoting an air show on Long Island this weekend, but their marketing stunt is pretty cool if only to see how they manage to not impale themselves on One World Trade Center's spire while traveling at 120 miles per hour. And manage to land on what appears to be a rather small barge in the Hudson. Warning: do not attempt if you're prone to vertigo.
