These two penthouses in Tribeca's 110 Duane Street were purchased by an LLC between October of 2012 and November of 2013 for a combined $7 million and change. They were renovated, though not combined, and are now being offered separately, for $5.5 million and $5 million, or as one $9.95 million combo. (Pro tip: buy them
separately, save yourself $450,000 together, save yourself $550,000) The place is slightly confusing. In addition to the fact that the combo listing doesn't offer a potential floorplan, so it's unclear how the two apartments would fit together, the renovation itself includes some incongruous elements such as "custom backlit millwork" (those weird light-up shelves) and some oddly placed columns. The outdoor space is harder to argue with, though — a combined 2,500 square feet of private landscaped roof terrace with a hot tub, barbecue, bar, and fireplace.
