The long-awaited 9/11 museum opened its doors yesterday, and there's been a wide-ranging barrage of immediate reactions. 1) It was somber and "overwhelming." 2) It's bad taste for Danny Meyer to open an eatery there. 3) The museum below notwithstanding, the Snohetta-designed pavilion above is pretty cool. 4) Maybe it's not the best venue for cocktail parties. 5) Also, what if the underground facility had to be evacuated in am emergency?
