Rent a Cottage Wannabe With Hammocks For An EVill Escape

New, 3 comments

If getting to a cabin upstate for summer is simply out of the question, consider instead this cottage wannabe summer rental on St. Marks Place. Wood and brick abound in the DIY-tinged, purportedly one-bedroom—but many-bedded—home, where hammocks hang from the ceiling for all lounging needs. The joint, off of Cooper Square, comes fully-furnished and is renting for $5,900. EV Grieve notes that the apartment is on the top floor of the former German-American Shooting Society Clubhouse where, back in the 1880's, the building housed a saloon, bowling alley, and a small shooting range in the basement. If only that didn't break every rule in the book these days, this place would be a regular ol' getaway.
