This series of maps does a pretty good job of visualizing the number of bicycle crashes in cities all over the world. The maps are particularly strong for New York, where all five boroughs are represented with data culled from NYPD Crash Reports and other sources. Brooklyn saw the most bike accidents (mostly along Bedford Ave) with 3,735 from August 2011 to February 2014. Queens came in second with 3,599 in the same time period. Surprisingly, Manhattan pulled in at a distant third with only 2,653 accidents, with most of those occurring along 2nd Avenue. [You Are Here]
