"Is The Rock the new Bushwick/Williamsburg?" wonders Roosevelt Islander following news that two island occupants are hosting an art show in their half moved-out-of apartment. In a review of the show, Arte Fuse writes, "The idea of apartment galleries seems to be catching on in some cities ... as a statement against the corporate models under which some of the larger galleries are now being run." While that seems to be something that would root strongly in northwest Brooklyn, that doesn't preclude it from happening elsewhere. So the short answer, Roosevelt Islander, is no.
