Novogratz's West Village Hoops House Hopes to Score for $22M

New, 15 comments

Cortney and Bob Novogratz have brought their family's West Village Hoops House at the corner of West and Charles streets back to the market and are hoping for a $21.5 million turnover. The celebrity interior design duo have been trying to pass on the property since the early days of 2009. The five-story townhouse with a half basketball court has traveled all over the market in recent years, asking an initial $25 million and falling at one time to $17.45 million. Now (dually) re-listed almost a year to the day it last appeared on the market, the home may gain points with potential buyers for its newly-installed elevator that displaced only a few walk-in closets. The 7,180-square-foot home has five bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms, a pretty sweet roof deck, and gratuitous Hudson River views. The game must be wearing the Novogratz's out—here's to hoping they get fast break this time around.
