Yet Another Williamsburg Parking Lot Turning Into Apartments

New, 6 comments

The parking-to-apartments craze cannot and will not die. Yet another mixed-use building is going up on the site of a former parking lot on the corner of North 1st Street, at 263 Bedford Avenue, BuzzBuzz Home reports. The building, from architect Jung Wor Chin, will be six stories and 60 feet tall, and appears to currently be about halfway to that height. It will contain 14 apartments spread out between 18,265 residential square feet as well as 3,510 square feet of ground-floor commercial space. Signage at the site gives the completion date as Spring, 2015, but a full Stop Work Order posted right on top of the rendering last week may have a thing or two to say about that.
