Upper West Side Townhouse With Historic Details Wants $7.65M

New, 1 comment

This very large five-story townhouse located right at the northern tip of the Upper West Side has had only three owners in the past four decades. Now it is searching for a fourth, as the current owner has put the 7,029-square-foot house on the market for $7.65 million. Although it is presently configured as three market-rate apartments and an owner's duplex, it seems like the type of place that could be ripe for a single-family conversion considering the current townhouse craze and the number of charming original details. Some of the more notable features include the oak, mahogany, and bird's eye maple fireplaces, wood paneling, and coffered ceilings. There's also a garden, not pictured. The brokerbabble boasts of "very high ceilings throughout," though we're not entirely sure about that.
