Kelly Ripa and husband Mark Consuelos listed their 76 Crosby penthouse for $24.5 million last January, and although they refused to ever publicly cut the price the Observer is reporting that the apartment has just gone into contract "at a considerable discount." How much that discount was, specifically, and the identity of the buyer are both being kept under wraps, so let's just take this opportunity to revisit the 6,792-square-foot, 5BR/4.5BA duplex, which Ripa and Consuelos bought in 2005 for $9.5 million and gut-renovated over the course of two years. The highlight is probably the 3,073-square-foot roof deck, complete with fireplace, hot tub, and outdoor shower. The lowlight is apparently the somewhat haphazard layout, which is said to have turned off prospective buyers, especially those who were looking for a Soho bachelor pad and not a place with a bunch of bedrooms for children.
