Frank Sinatra's Penthouse Now $600,000 Cheaper

New, 6 comments

The Upper East Side penthouse that was once the home of Frank Sinatra is having an awfully hard time selling after the current owner, a Long Island car insurance mogul named Penny Hart, renovated it with an authentic Apple Store staircase, checkerboard inlaid flooring, and more. Originally listed for $7.7 million, it later had its price hacked down to $5.595 million, and has now been pricechopped again, down to $4.995 million. According to the listing's broker, Hart bought the apartment in 2008 and renovated it to her own very specific tastes but never lived there, deciding instead that she "liked another apartment better."
