This is Exactly Why You Don't List Your Own $3M Apartment

New, 10 comments

This is, case in point, why you might want to hire a real broker to market your multi-million-dollar Manhattan condo. Andrew Heffernan, heir to the Irish retail chain Dunnes, decided to just take care of things himself when he put his two-bed, two-bath condo in The Caledonia on the market last February. How exactly he got a 19th-floor apartment with huge windows to look so incredibly gloomy is anyone's guess, but now the listing has been passed on to a real brokerage (surprise: it didn't sell) and all is right in the world. Just take a side-by-side look at the two sets of pictures if you want to really get what a professional photographer is good for. The apartment is asking $3.195 million.
