Hint: This Stylized 'Hood Lacks Any Landmark Designation

Welcome to Cornerspotter, Curbed's game in which you try to identify the location and/or identity of a particular building or streetscape in a historic photograph. Impress us and your fellow Curbed readers with your uncanny insight into New York City and its past!

This quaint city corridor was captured here in 1942. Although its been over 70 years since this photograph was taken, the street retains many of the architectural roses that make the neighborhood notable (but also hosts some new, taller additions). Despite the planned, manicured nature of the neighborhood, it lacks any landmark delineation. What is this corridor and what neighborhood is it in?
