For the first time in its 46-year history, the Rent Guidelines Board may enact a rent freeze for stabilized apartments. At a board meeting last night, tenants and politicians from Comptroller Scott Stringer to Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito rallied in support of the freeze, touting myriad reasons for unaffordability.
