Superfluous amenities like dog washing rooms, rooftop beaches, and yoga rooms are becoming standards for new buildings, so why not throw in a bocce ball court? Evidently lots of developers are. Soon-to-launch 345 Carroll Street has an outdoor court, as does the amenity-laden 50 North 5th Street in Williamsburg. To spice up the game, designers are making balls from recycled wood (très Brooklyn) and outfitted with LED lights. [WSJ; rendering by Redundant Pixel]
