The Rent Guidelines Board recently heard more pleas from tenants calling for a citywide rent freeze on stabilized leases, in advance of its annual meeting. Like the last meeting, both tenants and landlords were in attendance, with the latter camp (unsurprisingly) expressing their discontent. The board said last month that it will consider "anywhere from zero to 3% hikes on one-year leases that start Oct. 1, and 0.5% to 4.5% on two-year leases" and will vote on the issue on June 23.
