This $4.5M Malba Waterfront Mansion Really Loves Drapes

New, 4 comments

Our semi-regular feature, Monday Mansion, examines the most interesting mega homes on the market in the far reaches of New York. Have a listing in mind that we're missing? Tell us about it. To the outer boroughs we go!

This 5,700-square-foot mansion on Malba's waterfront asks the question: how many drapes are too many? And then it immediately answers: however many it is, we have more than that. In addition to the many drapes, the red brick house, recently listed for $4.5 million, features massive columns bordering the front door (always a classy and understated choice), as well as a huge foyer and an in-ground heated saltwater pool. Whoever buys the place will probably want to work out some sort of deal that includes the fainting couch, too, since that just seems to fit.
