Crown Heights is a hotbed of new development, and one of the latest additions to the neighborhood is now above street level at 505 Saint Marks Avenue. Curbed Flickr pool member Tom Giebel has been watching the site from across the street, and he shared a few photos showing the progress as of June 11. Designed by Isaac and Stern Architects and located between between Franklin and Classon Avenues, the building will rise eight stories and hold 147 rental apartments. It will also have 74 underground parking spaces, a roof deck, and recreation rooms. Permits list Yosi Cohen of Realty Within Reach as the developer, the same guy who is doing this kind of weird-looking Bed-Stuy building.
