The 4,300-square-foot duplex of candy entrepreneur Mark Tarnofsky has been on and off the market for a number of years now, with asking prices hovering around $5 million. But no one has bitten (perhaps they were afraid of cavities), so, to sweeten the deal, Tarnofsky has allowed his apartment to be listed alongside the building's adjacent, equally sized duplex as a potential combo. The asking price: a pre-renovation $13.5 million. Hmm.
If there's one thing that can be said for the hypothetical apartment, it's that it would have a lot of space — 8,648 square feet of it, to be exact. If there's another thing that can be said about it, it's that it would have (it appears, from the photos) two separate home theaters, which is kind of cool in a completely unnecessary sort of way.
