So much for privacy: the word is out that TV personality Kim Kardashian is shopping for a pad for herself, musician husband Kanye West, and their youngin'. The Post first reported that the omnipresent socialite and her family were spotted checking out on the DL two downtown homes: a $17.25 million townhouse in the Children's Aid Society conversion at Calvert Vaux's historic 215 Sullivan Street, and the $12.99 million penthouse of 40 Mercer Street.
↑The penthouse of 40 Mercer Street has four bedrooms and three-and-a-hlf bathrooms spread over 4,500 square feet. The 1,500-square-foot private terrace comes with a pool and can be accessed via a sliding glass indoor/outdoor wall. The penthouse has been on and off the market since 2012, when it was first listed for $16 million.
Superbroker Fredrik Eklund substantiated the claim that the super couple were shopping when he posted an announcement on Instagram that he was working with the duo. Although that announcement seems to have been wiped from his feed, Eklund did post on June 23 that his team sent out a contract for the townhouse at 215 Sullivan Street. It's yet unclear if the two instances are connected.
