Prospect Heights Rentals To Lose Neon, Become a Bland Gray

New, 2 comments

A new Prospect Heights rental building going up on St. Marks Avenue has been boring-ified. The 76-apartment project at number 313, designed by S3 Architecture, was originally envisioned as gray with neon piping framing the windows that really popped. Whether that was in a good or a bad way is really a personal preference, but at least it was interesting. Brownstoner spotted an updated rendering posted on the construction plywood, which means that the apartments, located between Underhill and Washington, are going wear a gray facade on the outside and just totally fit in and not be some kind of outcast pariah with their own sense of style. Boo. At least there'll be an interior courtyard.
