What: Two-bedroom co-op on President Street in Carroll Gardens
Maintenance: $650
This fourth-floor walkup in Carroll Gardens might not have much in the way of space, but it makes up for that with a bounty of original prewar details — from the two working wood-burning fireplaces with antique mantles to the stained-glass transoms, tin ceilings, wooden door- and window frames, pine floors, and ornate radiators. (The fact that the radiators are old actually might not be such a great a selling point, but the rest of it: pretty cool.) The second bedroom is pretty small, and the brokerbabble describes it as being "ideal for home office or nursery," but on the bright side there's an in-unit washer/dryer. So, how much do you think it's asking?
