In January, Michael Shvo and partner Erez Itzhaki paid $130 million for an eight-parcel site bounded by Watts, Broome, and Varick Streets in the Hudson Square section of Soho. Now, the developers have filed demolition plans on the 20,000-square-foot property.
The joint venture of Shvo, Itzhaki, Halpern Real Estate Ventures, Bizzi & Partners, and Aronov Development will demolish three three-story buildings currently on the property. According to city records, the site could become residential tower of up to 280,000 square feet overlooking the entrance of the Holland Tunnel.
