Public Advocate Letitia James, whose job partially involves keeping tabs on landlords, has has failed to register her four-unit Fort Greene building with the Department of Housing Preservation and Development since 2007. Landlords are required by the city to register their building with the HPD so tenants and the city have a point of contact in case an issue arises at or with the property. Three violations have also been issued to James since she purchased the site. James could face a $500 penalty. Image via DNAinfo. [DNAinfo]
