UPPER EAST SIDE—The 14 new rentals above former Elaine's restaurant at 89th Street and Second Avenue have a new, staged look. The artists housing of yore underwent a renovation and renaming to the somewhat self-righteous Residences Above the Writing Room, the property's new restaurant. Robert Skolnick purchased the buildings at 1703-1705 Second Avenue in late 2011. Available apartments range from $2,750 for a one-bedroom to $3,750 for a two-bedroom.

WILLIAMSBURG—After less than two weeks on the market, The Printhouse Lofts at 129 North 10th Street are already 50-percent leased. The building's 36 apartments are comprised of 28 one-bedroom, six two-bedroom, and three three-bedroom apartments TRD says. Available apartments range from a $2,525 one-bedroom to a $6,188 three-bedroom. The building was developed by Greystone, who purchased the property from Fortis last year for $15.8 million in a flip that netted the development magnate $9.7 million. [TRD; previously]
