Billionaire media mogul and talking catcher's mitt Rupert Murdoch has been in the process of buying up the top four floors of One Madison for months, and now it looks like he's finally closed on the last section: the entire 57th floor, to complement his purchase of the building's modest 6,850-square-foot triplex penthouse. What is this, Avengers Tower?!
Murdoch bought the full-floor apartment after concluding that he required an aggregate 10,000 square feet to "accommodate his lifestyle," that of a swinging, devil-may-care bachelor, adding it to the penthouse at a cost of $14.927 million (and a total of $57.5 million). It was reportedly delivered fully finished, with interiors by Yabu Pushelberg. Dolly Lenz represented him in the deal.
All in all, it seems like the perfect place to glower.
