Scouting NY's Nick Carr speculates that the courtyard in The Plaza Hotel may be one of the few New York City places better known by tourists than locals and that sounds about right — we didn't know about it, Carr didn't know about it, and he knows basically everything. Who did know about it? Did you? What else aren't you telling us?
Carr discovered (was shown) the courtyard on a routine visit to the famous hotel, and describes it as being located on the other end of a "maze of hallways," featuring "manicured gardens and several pools" (with underwater lights) including a series of tiered pools where water flows from one to the next, and a large fountain. Without a doubt, an outdoor space worthy of recognition.
