The Best Dog Parks In NYC: Hillside Park In Brooklyn Heights

As part of Outdoors Week 2014, we're searching for New York City's best dog park. Nominate your dog park or run by writing us a short description of what makes it great and telling us why your dog loves it; send photos to tips@curbed.com and your adorable pup may be featured on the site. We'll be sharing two parks (and lots of photos!) per day, and voting begins Friday.

Colleagues, friends, and commenters on the internet can't say enough good things about the dog run at Hillside Park in Brooklyn Heights. This spacious tree-lined dog run—it measures about two acres—feels like it's tucked into a pocket of woods. The park has a few gentle hills, plenty of grass, and fresh woodchip-covered ground, as well as a few hoses and drinking fountains designed for both pets and owners. There's a baby pool for pups to cool off, and several benches and picnic tables sit in the shade near a cluster of trees. One Yelp user praises it because it "doesn't reek of urine," and has multiple entrances and exits.

Do you have photos of your dog at Hillside Park that you want to share? Send them to tips@curbed.com, and we'll gladly add them to the gallery.
