There has been a lot of discussion over how parks in less well-of neighborhoods should be funded, and an advocacy group recently rallied on the steps of City Hall to get funds for decrepit Brooklyn parks. The rally leader spun de Blasio's "tale of two cities" rhetoric into a "tale of two parks," shouting, "The question is: Are you just the mayor of Central Park or are you going to be the mayor of Heckscher Playground also?" The tactics seem to be working; the Bushwick playground received $900K from the city budget for upgrades. [NYT]
