Our weekly feature, Monday Mansion, examines the most interesting mega homes on the market in the far reaches of New York. Have a listing in mind that we're missing? Tell us about it. To the outer boroughs we go!
An incongruous villa on a hill in Staten Island is on the market for $2,999,999. The four-bedroom, five-bathroom "Italian/French" home at 70 Lyman Placepretty much a "villa" for its clay-shingled roofhas gratuitous amounts of marble and views towards the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. Tacking one more dollar onto the listing price to make it an even $3 million may have driven the home into unsellable territory, but its status in that regard remains to be seen as of yet.
