The dental clinic business has been good to Alexander Mikhailov, who snagged this 34th floor 15 Central Park West pad for $7.99 million in 2008. Now Mikhailov is renting the three-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom apartment for $55,000 a month. Mikhailov is one of 15 CPW's original buyers who left the Soviet Union in the 1970's to escape religious persecution. Mikhailov told Michael Gross, author of 15 CPW chronicler House of Outrageous Fortune, that many of the Russian Jews who now shack up in the prestigious building came to the country with "nothing...zero." Maybe Mikhailov's meager beginnings are to what we owe the honor of a view into the glamorous home.
