Evolving technology has shrunk Verizon Communications' space needs, so the tech giant has been offloading many of its buildings. Over the last decade, Verizon sold 10 buildings in NYC. The highest profile conversions turned the buildings into condos (Walker Tower, Stella Tower, 140 West Street), but the buildings are also being reborn as medical offices, space for nonprofits, and hotels.
