After three years behind scaffolding, Hot Karl Fischer's second Bowery creation, the finger building at 255 Bowery, has been unveiled. While not yet complete, the seven-story building with two floors of retail and four apartments is certainly taking shape and surprisingly, it isn't totally offensive lookingyet. If Fischer's first Bowery building at 263 (or any prior development the architect had his hand in, for that matter) is any indication, the structure between Houston and Stanton Street will soon take a turn for the worst. Fischer partnered with developer Shaky Cohen on both projects. Cohen purchased the building that formerly housed Canon, a restaurant supply store, in 2011 for $5.5 million.
