The much-anticipated Baccarat Hotel & Residences at 20 West 53rd Street have been on the market for well over a year, so it is to much fanfare that the first real interior shots of the building roll out. Regardless of its rendering-heavy presence, sales at the very pricey Skidmore Owings & Merrill-designed tower have been doing very well: its 60 residences are over 60-percent sold. StreetEasy shows 35 in-contract residences and 13 for sale, including the building's show-stopping $60 million penthouse. Baccarat's model residence interiors are being handled by Stephen Sills who, a la a press release, is making sure the residences are appropriately bedazzled with "jewel-like details" that nod to the crystal brand. The official interior designer for the whole project, though, is Tony Ingrao. The building will be available for occupancy in August.
